Curriculum
There is a difference in the curriculum of the Philippines and Indonesia that is why crafting a lesson plan that is aligned to the curriculums was a bit difficult however we were able to still align the lesson.
I was assigned to teach Grade 9 students. According to the English Curriculum of Indonesia t
hey are expected to learn the following:


During our stay, they were already at the last part of their lesson which is about present perfect tense that is the assigned lesson I taught to the students.
In our curriculum, however, present perfect tense is taught to grade 6 students which was misaligned to the Merdeka curriculum. But for the Grade 9, they were expected to appreciate Philippine text a and show deep appreciation for Philippine Culture. That is how I was able to connect both curriculums, by using “Travelling to the Philippines” concept where I introduced our culture through Philippine literature, which can fall under the Merdeka curriculum of teaching fairytales, and still integrating the present perfect tense lesson.
